Premium Quality
Our Amish craftsmanship is on full display. With years and years of experience, our Amish partners select the right solid wood and don’t cut any corners. We actually sand and smooth our corners! Our quality speaks for itself but we like to talk about it too!
Pressure Treated
Our material is solid pressure treated pine. The mills treat the wood to protect it from the elements. We then kiln dry it and that makes it ready to paint, stain, or water seal if you desire. You don’t have to add anything to our furniture but it will help to make sure you enjoy it for years to come.
Comfort
We strive to make our products comfortable even without a cushion! When you sit down you will know what we mean. The curved seat and back will put a smile on your face every time!
Heavy Duty
We are intentional when it comes to durability and toughness. Our furniture isn’t going to blow around in your yard during the next storm.
Easy Assembly
We don’t want you spending half your Saturday sweating putting together your furniture. That’s why we have preassembled as much as possible like the seat and back slats allowing you to enjoy your furniture quicker.

About The Owner
Ford McGee, owner of home lifestyle company Palmetto Craft, was born and raised in Greenville, SC. Graduating as a Clemson Tiger in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resource Management and a minor in Wood Products, he entered the lawn and garden industry right out of college. Early in his career, he had the opportunity to work with the Amish community. Ford was instantly drawn to their values, craftsmanship, and business practices that support products made right here in the USA. Since 2004, he has been developing and selling products in mass market stores coast-to-coast, and has continued to strengthen his partnership with experienced Amish craftsmen. These experiences fostered Ford’s passion for wood-working and in fall of 2020 Palmetto Craft was born: A family business that instills Ford’s values and honors Amish tradition. He continues to design and discover new products that add comfort, beauty, and practicality to homes. Palmetto Craft products pride themselves in being sourced and constructed in the USA.
For Ford, family is essential to life and Palmetto Craft’s business: Ford’s wife Lawson is the Social Media Manager, making sure the community and customers are always taken care of. Their children Pac, Mary Ward, and Carey inspire Ford and Lawson to be the best that they can be. Alongside family, faith plays an enormous role in Palmetto Craft and the McGee family’s daily life. They are one of the current founding families of Resurrection Presbyterian in Greenville, SC, where they work, live and raise their kiddos!
